[newbie] LimeWire

I'd like to install LimeWire for Linux but when I try I get this
response, 

"Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive...

Configuring the installer for this system's environment...

No Java virtual machine could be found from your PATH

environment variable. You must install a VM prior to

running this program".

I checked with the Sun website and apparently I have java installed. How
do I modify my PATH environment variable?

I am using Mandrake 9.2.

Any comments on LimeWire in general?
