[Discuss] Ubuntu on Dell

Dell Canada is now offering Ubuntu pre-installed on some machines.

Unfortunately, the process is more complicated than simply adding the
"Ubuntu" option to the Operating System selection screen.

As a comparison to see how the pricing differed, I configured a Dell
Inspiron L 1525N Laptop (Ubuntu) and a Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop
(Windows).

Configured with the same components (except for wireless card due to
availability):
Ubuntu: $1089
Windows: $1189 - $290 = $899

As I expected, the Windows machines have deep discounts, which the Ubuntu
machines are not eligible for.  For the time being, it seems like buying
a Dell with Windows and installing Linux yourself is still the cheaper
option.
