[Discuss] multiple desktops

Greetings:
	I'm a fan of multiple desktops on Linux; generally have 3 going -
General (mail and web browsing), Work (web browser, an editor or two,
Database tools) and ThinkingRock (personal activity management). A
couple of questions come up: a) how can I set up system start so that
the appropriate applications are opened on the right desktops when the
box powers up? and b) how can I force web-page requests from an
application on one desktop to be handled by a browser on that desktop?
