Seems to work okay in an Asus EEE. I've heard conflicting
reports about their lifespan though. Some worry about the
limited number of writes you can put into a flash memory device,
while someone else on the eeeuser forum said he'd been part of a
handheld stuff users' group for years, and never ran into one
that failed in real-world use.

Can't remember where I saw this either, but somewhere, someone
theorized that you could write continuously to a 4GB flash device
for 51 years before noticing any serious problems. So, for this
year at least, I guess the jury's still out.

The access time isn't noticeably longer or shorter than with a
conventional HD, but it is quieter.

No problem,

Patrick.
