	Check out usedvictoria.com, though don't pay anymore than $100 (IMO) 
for any of the original CRT based iMacs. With enough RAM, these units 
can even run 10.4.
	Also, this Saturday is the Mac club's garage sale. The info is at their 
site, vmug.bc.ca. Their might be a similar machine there.
	Once you have the Mac, you can install Ubuntu 6.0.6 on it (they dropped 
support for PPC based Macs and so the current releases are not 
available) and dual boot when you need to. Or you can enable VNC on the 
Mac and use it that way.

	A word of caution, 10.3 and 10.4 have "hardware" limitations for 
installing.
