[Discuss] Tuesdays VLUG Monthly Meeting - Cancelled

Joan,
Thanks for the more positive and encouraging response! As I recall from
the list discussion just Patrick and myself put our names forward as
volunteers but many participated in a long discussion about possible
presentation scenarios, which indicates to me there is lots of interest
in presentations on a wide range of topics.

Its probably not possible to get a enough people to turn up to tonight's
meeting at this late stage but perhaps a meeting could be scheduled
(next week?) so that people could come up with a short list of possible
presentation topics. Once we know what the members want we can twist
some arms to get presenters, rather than wait for someone to volunteer a
presentation which they are uncertain will be favourably received.
After all the presentation is the heart of a meeting so why not focus on
this as the main problem.

With the holiday season coming up people are likely to preoccupied in a
week or two and nothing will get done until the Spring (I shall be out
of town from mid December for 4 to 5 weeks for instance) so I suggest
that this all gets resolved in the next week or too.
