btw, I offered to serve in any appropriate way on the BoD. I have not 
had any reply, so I would question how seriously the offer was received.

ps. Let's stop dancing around the real issue. The Group is seriously 
split between geeks wanting to dance on technical pins and another 
group, this time of practical types wanting to get Linux on as many 
desktops as possible, with clear understanding of the basics, how to use 
the GUI that KDE and Gnome provide, without the esoterica.
Let's call a spade a spade!
