[Discuss] Gmail IMAP slow?

Okay, as I mentioned awhile back I now finally have the option to enable 
IMAP for my Gmail account which I have done.  On my main machine I use 
Thunderbird to access this account using IMAP, and I am finding it 
rather sluggish.  Everytime I click on inbox I have to wait a few 
seconds before seeing messages, when I delete a message it takes a few 
seconds, etc, etc.  Nothing particularly horrible, just sluggish.

Just wondering if others are experiencing the same thing, or if it's 
just me....
