Brij Charam and Steve Nelson also gave some useful instructions.
Combined, ESPECIALLY with the link to Medibuntu.org, I was able to get
Adobe PDF and Flash working, instal the codecs and to fix the menu
items. I think I have everything I need working properly now with
Kubuntu on both of our main computers.
I still have not resolved the wireless issue with the live DVD version
of Kubuntu on the laptop, but have not finished trying the last couple
of things that have been suggested.
