From what I have read, that is correct. There is no card that will
allow you to "decode" the encrypted channels and record the full HD
signal direct to your computer. According to what I have read out there
on the internet, some of the service provider supplied HD-PVRs allow
content to be transfered to a computer but typically at a reduced
resolution.
