Thanks Steve and "R" for you replies. I have arrived at the conclusion
that it is absolutely not necessary to spend big bucks on software. At
least not always. A little innovation and a bit of free software will
get you a long way to were you want to go. If I had had my arguments
together faster I might have saved the club thousand of dollars.
Way cheaper and a whole lot more interesting and we would have had a
product that we could have handed out to other not-for-profits. Ah well
the view of what can be done is changing.
