[Discuss] Kubuntu install

Murray, my consistent advice to you over the years has been to not mix
windows and Linux on the same computer.  With such a dual-boot system,
windows has the capability of screwing up Linux and vice versa. Sure you can
dual-boot reasonably safely if you know what you are doing, but I don't
believe this is the first time you have encountered troubles with
dual-booting so perhaps it it time for you to take my advice.  :-)

OTOH, if you want to persist in your dual-boot attempts that is fine, and
more power to you, but be prepared (with lots of backups) for Murphy's law
to reign supreme.  :-)
