A little while back someone was asking about HDTVs. Just wanted to post
a quick message with a little more info about Panasonic TV's.

I'm currently staying at my in-laws and my father in-law recently bought
a Panasonic LCD tv (Viera 26LX600), and I gotta say that the picture
quality for a SDTV signal is quite good. I'd even say it looks better
than my substantially more expensive Samsung for SDTV even though my
Samsung has a higher contrast ratio (4000:1 compared to 3000:1). I
haven't watched anything HD on it yet, but it's probably the best LCD TV
I've seen for watching SDTV on (to be fair though at home I have cable,
whereas this Panasonic is hooked up to satellite TV).

Somebody also posted a note saying that plasma's are better for "bright"
lit rooms. I'm watching this Panasonic TV in the sun room which has
nearly floor-to-ceiling windows and it's a clear sunny day, and the
picture still looks great.

people dislike Microsoft, which is okay; but they dislike it for reasons
that are poorly considered, and in the end, self-defeating.
