[Discuss] Shaw regular average speed vs. Telus?

Not sure where you're located, but there is good fiber near Keating X-Road and in Sidney (an old BCSC director lived in Sidney and had the gov't string lines out there). There's a few decent spots that both Shaw and Telus have for fiber depending on where you are, try and find a service that has a bigger client close by (like Disney, EA, etc.) which can dramatically reduce your costs since you can leverage the upgraded CO for those clients. In the past I found asking the tech support helplines pretty effective in finding if there is a local connector close by.

Cheers,
Thor HW

I have no throttles on telus ADSL for BT traffic.

I'm considering looking to see if I can get fiber to my home. Depending
on the cost obviously. :)
