Make sure you station one GPS at a fixed site within 18 Km
of your data collection.
This allows you to perform differential calculations to remove error
from the GPS position.

Log as many digits of precision as possible and
set your GPS to log one record each second.

If your GPS doesn't have a big enough buffer to log
all the data, connect it to a serial port on a
laptop and stream the NMEA records into a text file.
