[Discuss] Torn between Debian stable and another

Stability and recent packages follow the nice continuum.

Stability <-> Recent packages

Debian stable -> Ubuntu stable -> Debian unstable

Only you can decide where you fit on that spectrum.

I run debian unstable at home and rarely have issues; if you go to
update and they're changing the kernel or X, wait a few days and check
the bug reports first.

At work I switched to Ubuntu because backporting packages to Debian
woody became too painful.
