[Discuss] Crashed computer on Xubuntu install

Hi Murray:

It took a while for these old eyes to find exactly how to download UBCD; it 
seems to be a very complex  system of mirrors &c. But, thanks to the 
University of Crete (!) I have it OK, on a DVD (don't have any CD's handy. 
No matter, it's working on poor Bambi now. Next question: I've got it 
analysing the hard disk (somebody suggested that maybe that's the trouble) 
If the HD checks out OK do I do the partition with the ubcd, or let the 
Install program for Xubuntu do it? How to get to a clean install is the 
basic question I guess.
