[Discuss] fiefox and HD thrashing

I've seen Firefox 'hang' KDE (and WinXP) for anywhere from one-half to
several seconds when interacting with various websites. Never really
figured out exactly what caused it except that it usually happened
after leaving Firefox running for days at a time and it's memory
footprint under KDE or XP was on the order of 250MB+.
