[Discuss] Crashed computer on Xubuntu install

Thanks Patrick. No, there's nothing on the drive to save; I was smart enough 
to remember that. I had saved all the data to a DVD before ever starting. 
What seems to be the problem is the partitioning part of the install 
program. Either I have problems with the HD or else with my own head (lol!) 
but in each case it crashed after trying to get through the partitioning 
part of the program. How about I bring it to January's meeting and we'll all 
have some fun trying to get the disk partitioned right. BTW that could be 
the issue right there. The install procedure is pretty clear up to there; 
then I'm confronted with three choices  plus straight manual partitioning, 
and to be honest I have no idea which one I should choose. Ill try your 
suggestions tomorrow morning. If it works, great. If it doesn't we've got a 
ready-made presentation for the Jan. mtg. (grin!)
