Last night and today the connection has improved. It wasn't even a
problem of bandwidth, rather, connection failures. Many Web pages
would just time out.

Today I run the "Speedtest": I am getting around 3kbs
(~300kB/s). I'll have to keep an eye on it.

But I certainly agree and I'll try to push Shaw to give us a "better" service.
