[Discuss] Technical questions taken at the AGM

After the election of the Board we had an informal question and answer
period. Here are a few of the technical questions that were asked and
possible solutions.

The first question was to do with preventing flash animations from
displaying over top of website menus in Firefox. Basically the problem
is you find some website that will have a click-able menu and a flash
animation just below the menu. When you click on the menu it appears but
most of the menu is displayed underneath the flash animation. And
disabling flash only displays a blank box saying that a plugin is
required.

There were two solutions suggested. The first is a plugin call Flash
Block and the other was I think called script stop or something like
that. If somebody remembers the name could you please post it.


The second question was regards to accidentally removing all the gnome
panels in your desktop environment. Once you have removed all you panels
how do you get one back. Two possible solutions were the following.

1) open up the console and try manually running the application
gnome-panel and see if this creates a panel.

2) Create a new user account and transfer all the files over. 

If anybody has alternate solutions to these problems or remembers other
questions that were asked could you please post them.
