[Discuss] Stiffling debate on the new copyright law

As has been discussed on this before, Canada looks set to pass a new
copyright law similar to the US DMCA. However, as has been pointed
out, absolutely no concrete information is available to the public.
Given the Industry Ministers recent refusal to go on a CBC program,
Search Engine, to take listeners commenters, I can only conclude that
the Conservative gov't has concluded that a large public debate would
generate so much negative publicity to kill the bill. This is very
dangerous. Michael Geist has a great blog post [1], about who to
contact about the upcoming law and to express what you feel should be
in it.
