[Discuss] wireless adapters

I've been successfully using an onboard Intel wireless adapter using the 
newish Linux wireless subsystem 
(http://www.intellinuxwireless.org/?p=iwlwifi) on an Asus A8J laptop w/ 
Scientific Linux.

It required patching the kernel and compiling a driver. I also have to 
load the driver manually until I set up modules.conf correctly ;) 
Overall a medium difficulty. Learned lots,
