Well as long as you are coming to the capital region:

Pay won't be as good as the private sector, but it has gotten more competitive (to the best of my knowledge). I haven't checked for sys admin positions.. I do know there are a lot of openings for DBA, SA, Programmer analyst etc. Worth a look as the government has done very little succession planning and it looks like a LOT of retirements are coming up.
