Hi Adam,
Yes, infact it even supports a basic substitution mechanism too. If
you bookmark a page, and then open its properties in the bookmark
editor, there is a "keyword" field which corresponds to the keyword
that can be entered in the location bar.
If you insert %s somewhere in the URL, it inserts the text on the
location bar (minus the keyword) into that position.
As an example, I have one for Wikipedia:
URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search=%s
Keyword: wp
So "wp linux" translates to
"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search=linux"
