RIP(Recovery Is Possible) or DSL(Damn Small Linux) on a USB stick will give
you access to your data.
If you were to get a console and networking operational, you could transfer
a backup of an existing install onto the harddrive. A method I use for
system installs rather than feeding cd's to the machine.
