Pamela Jones concisely responds to the strong contradictory statements from
MS and Novell about what the patent deal really means at
(http://www.groklaw.net/article.php?story=20061120203431766).  If there is
such strong disagreement (i.e., no "meeting of the minds"), then Novell has
the legal right to drop the deal right away.  If they view themselves as a
member of the Linux community, then they have the moral obligation to drop
the deal as well.
