I have just done some serious reading on K3b. K3b is dependent on cdrecord and
cdrdao for writing CD. Now the man pages says that cdrecord and cdrdao
perform the best when they work with the highest priority and with full
control. This is possible as root. But in case of a user cdrecord and cdrdao
should have SUID bit set to enjoy the root facility. hence K3b-setup changes
the permission of cdrecord and cdrdao to have SUID bit set. and then even as
a normal user one can write CD smoothly.
