Hi all :-)
today I have got an old LG CD writer from my friend; freely :-)
I have installed K3b (Version: 0.11.18-1) and it asked to give permission as
guided by the K3b setup. I refused to change any permission to the CDR drive
(default is 755) though accepted the permission change of cdrecord and
cdrdao. But I can't get the CDR drive under the setting of K3b. Usually I
couldn't run any writting process, trying the same crashed the K3b.
Then I accepted the changing permission (766) of the CDR drive and every thing
is working fine now. I can understand that now *other* has write permission
but Why K3b even didn't detect the CDR drive in earlier stage (with (default
is 755)
I am also interested to use *cdrecord* . So how can I
1] Copy CD to CD
2] Copy data to CD
with cdrecord. How can I also change the writting speed, buffer size , buffer
over run protection from command line of cdrecord ?
thanks for your time.
