for problem #2 - you must have the same userid's in windows for your samba
user's and passwords. you then must specify in your smb.conf which
directories said users will have access into.
problem #1 sounds like you need to create a script to automatically
reconnect at boot up of your linux box (can't figure why you'd be rebooting
linux too often?) which is illustrated here in many versions nicely.
