"Find A Computer A Home" is a very small un-registered Victoria charity
which recycles, refurbishes and donates used computers to those in
Victoria who cannot afford to purchase their own computer. We refurbish,
donate and install about 150-175 computers yearly.

Presently, there are only two of us guys doing this. We are now
installing Linux on most machines, rather than Win98SE. We would like to
take another kind soul on board who can help us:

-deliver refurbished computers to clients in the Victoria area
-set them up in the clients home and spend about 1 hour giving a brief
introductory tutorial
-be available on an infrequent ad-hoc basis to answer clients basic
Linux usage questions over the telephone.

The volunteer we have in mind should:
-enjoy working with computers and Linux specifically
-enjoy helping and teaching people
-have the patience of "Job"!
-have own vehicle

Future work may entail technical computer repairs and loading Linux as
well. This volunteer work entails usually less than 4 hours work per
week, often much less, seldom more than that.

We sometimes receive small donations which can go towards your gas costs.
