[Discuss] [JOB] Junior to Intermediate Quality Assurance Position

AlarmPoint Systems is leading the marketplace into a new era of 
enterprise-class, automated event notification, interaction and 
resolution platforms and products. We are currently seeking a Junior to 
Intermediate QA analyst as an addition to our team of software engineers 
in our Victoria, BC office. The selected candidate will be part of our 
QA Team and will have close interaction with developers and other testers.

Qualifications

    • Experience with Windows and Unix Operating Systems
    • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
    • Proactive in bringing up issues with the QA Manager
    • Ability to adapt to project constraints
    • Team player
    • Assertive
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to think through and solve problems
    • Highly organized and methodical

Preferred, but not required, skills

    • 3+ years Software Testing experience
    • Understanding of the defect life cycle and the issues related to
    defect reporting
    • Understanding of regression testing and risk based testing
    • Ability to produce quality test design
    • Ability to produce good reports on test results, defects and
    testing progress
    • Experience with Test Automation tools like QuickTest Pro is desired
    • Experience with automated defect tracking tools
    • Experience with writing SQL queries
    • Experience with testing methodologies and with developing and
    executing comprehensive test suites

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
